    Hi All:

We use Warehouse App in our warehouse, and have started working towards migrating to the "Warehouse Management" app.
    Ref: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/supply-chain/get-started/removed-deprecated-features-scm-updates

    Current State:

"Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations - Warehousing"
This app is not supported since April 2022

    Future State:

    "Warehouse Management" app

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/supply-chain/warehousing/install-configure-warehouse-management-app

    Findings from our UAT:

Some aspects of the new app are taking away from efficiency of the warehouse processes – example the Android keyboard being ever present, needing to "submit/confirm" after each input etc.

We have reached out to Microsoft and they suggest that "changes you see in the new warehouse app is expected behavior".

Has anybody from the community migrated to the New App? Did you see loss of efficiency caused by how the New app behaves?

    Thank you
    Rohit

We have been similarly disappointed with the new app also. Our biggest complaint is that the middle details screen is so small that the user cannot see the details of what they are working on without having to click into the details, swipe out and then enter the needed input.

And on a Zebra 8300, illustrates the frustrations the users run into.
The only way to see more information is to move the button size and font to the smallest numbers and then we face issues where employees cannot read the screen.

If you are having issues with the QWERTY keyboard being present instead of the 10-key, go to Warehouse management>Setups>Mobile device>warehouse app field names, the input field determines how you will enter the information. If you are getting the QWERT keyboard instead of a 10-key, change the preferred input mode to manual for the quantity fields.
We have opened a ticket with Microsoft trying to see if there is a way to reclaim some of this unused white space at the top and bottom of the screen to display more information in the middle part of the screen.
This has been a thorn in our side for months now. We have only migrated a couple of warehouses at this time as a pilot and are waiting for further input from Microsoft before migrating the rest.

Thanks Dave - Note that we have an open CASE with Microsoft on this - 2211030040004256.

Randy - Appreciate the details you provided. Our specific observations on "loss of efficiency" were different, but lead to the similar dissatisfaction in the Warehouse. and I will be happy share with you and the community if that helps.
