  • 1.  Is it possible to setup or create priority-based receiving?

    Posted Nov 03, 2022 10:24 AM
Business case: Warehouse workers need a way to know which Purchase orders to receive in first based on a "hot list".  These POs and lines need received in first and then moved to production right away for example.

Is there any OOB way to setup a priority-based receiving list?

I am aware of the warehouse management app data inquiry flow and I think that could be a solution as well (if there is a priority type of field).  We currently do not use the D365 warehouse app.  We are using RF Smart.

Hi Paul, Using WMS, I think you are right that the new Data inquiry flow would be the best way to handle this. You could create an inquiry that shows PurchID and other order information like Purchase Pool, for example, that could be used as the "Hot" or "Priority" flag. I would also recommend discussing with RFSmart if they can add or filter from a field like PurchPool to drive your priority since most drive off dates or vendor codes.
