  • 1.  Dev ALM: Create new Build Pipeline

    Hi friends,

    Pretty new to Dev ALM, I'm wondering if someone can tell me, if or when we want to create new Build Pipeline, what are the thing that we should know first ? or what need to ask / confirm with user before we starting to create new Build Pipeline from the scratch?

    I'm very new to this, so haven't figure it out, like when I said what do we need to know first, like probably the source control ? the folder ? source code metadata ? where is the Build Machine ?  Not sure whether those are correct question or not either.

    Please help me so I know what need to be prepared first.

    Hi Anton,

    Of course, the first thing you need to have is the code you want to build, stored in Azure DevOps TFS repo.  I suggest you use Microsoft Hosted Build for simplicity, that way you won't need a Build VM.
