AX 2012 - treatment of rebates on returned items

    AX 2012. I am looking for confirmation that AX 2012 will not automatically 'take back' the rebate that was generated from an invoiced sales order, when the items on that sales order are returned but are no longer being sold.

    We tested a return order, linking the return to the specific originating sales order. The original sales order had associated accrued rebates. The items are no longer on the customer's trade allowance agreement. The return order inherited the original item price for the return amount, but no rebate calculations were made.

    Wondering if anyone has this situation and found different results, or how you handle rebates for that situation?
