1.  Certificate of Origin? AX 2012 R2

Posted 04-19-2017 12:42
Hello All,

Is there a Certificate of Origin form hiding somewhere in AX 2012 R2?  It seems like it should have one but I haven't been able to locate it.

Thanks,

Sam

Hi Sam,
The only certificate of origin functionality I'm aware of is in the Transportation Management module, which became available in R3.  Hopefully someone else can provide a better answer!

Hi Sam,

We are on 2012 R2 and have a Certificate of Origin.  I do not know if it was a customization in the first place, but ours is found as follows:

Inventory and warehouse management > Shipments > Print > Certificate of origin

Again, this may have been a customization for us, but it is a place to look.

Thanks Jessie and Susan,

I was hopeful there for a minute, but I don't have that option under shipments.

Thanks for your help as always.

Thanks,

Sam

It's entirely possible that there's an old report (R2) that I'm not aware of and it's also possible that Susan has a config key turned on that Sam doesn't.  Susan, if you're able to tell us the object name of that form, we may be able to tell if it's a customization or not.  When you open the window that you use to print the report, can you right click on it and choose Personalize?  You should be able to see the form name and that will tell us if it's OOTB or custom.
Thanks!

I Just want to help clarify Sue's comments.  Our Certificate of Origin report from the Shipments screen is a custom report.  As Sue states, we are on 2012 R2 so I am looking forward to investigating the Certificate of Origin report in the Transportation module.

Are you asking about COOs for purchased components or finished goods?
I'm curious-  we're on AX2009. Is there still a quality module in AX2012? Isn't there a certification function in the quality module that can be triggered before/after document packing slip (either PO or SO)?

Hi Mark,
I'm looking for an international trade shipping document that shows the origin of our FG items.
Thanks,
Sam
