1.  Help with Credit Card processing in EPOS with Verifone/TouchPeak

In our EPOS system we are in the middle of replacing Microsoft Payment Services with VeriFone card readers and the TouchPeak payment connector.  Currently running AX2012 R3 CU8.  This implementation has been and continues to be a struggle, from getting assistance from vendors to configure the devices to understanding how back office functions in Sales and Marketing/AR (like returns and exchanges) will work with the new payment connector.

If anyone has this combination working, or is in the middle of an implementation, please let us know.  We could use your help.

If you are using EPOS and a SDK Payment Connector, you will have to write a custom interface to the Verifone Device in EPOS if they have not provided you one.  Currently, that would either be on Point or Point Enterprise. I do not believe Verifone provides an EMV solution for EPOS OOTB for either at this current time, but I would follow up with them on that. I believe Shift4 has one as well.  To write your own is not a trivial task, as you will need to account for interaction with the payment terminal, voice authorizations and manual entry--which will require PCI Validation.

With regards to the SDK Payment Connector in AX 2012 R3 CU8 Returns, you are at the mercy of the SDK.  Are you using Call Center?  If so,  you have more leeway and functionality for returns.  If not, you have limited options.  Please be aware that the SDK does not support upcoming Visa requirements for CIT or MIT flagged transactions which are required in October per Visa new rules.

I have worked in the Credit Card space within AX for over 10 years.  I have never heard of TouchPeak, so I cannot help you with regards to them. You could reach out to Verifone, Shift4 or ourselves if the solution you have is not working.  I will warn you that your time is very, very short.  We are receiving upwards of 2-5 calls a day and we know that our colleagues at the other companies are just as overwhelmed.  I would steer you to a proven solution that has been in the market for years, even if it is not our own.  You don't want to be reinventing something or having issues this late in the game.

We recently used a pre built solution which come from a Processor directly for a client using EPOS on 2012 CU11. It worked well and in a high transaction volume environment. Vantiv is the company who provides the solution and they have been nothing but awesome to work with. I our client worked with a rep named Bill Downey ... I suggest you save some the time of recreating the wheel and contact them.
