I know many customers who will upgrade the coming period. Microsoft is releasing new tools for data migration for ax 2009.  if you start now, you are one of the first who will test it, if you wait for some months, you will have an easier project as others did the test for you. The best thing is to contact Microsoft.

I'm also curious about individuals choosing to upgrade versus re-implement and how the upgrade, especially from AX2009, affected the data.  I'm interested mostly in the financial data as that was a complete overhaul between those, but also about the data that came from the other modules.

We currently have a few clients going through this upgrade process. There was some sessions on this at MS Tech Conference and I hope there's some at Nashville, but I need to double check the schedule :)
