Sales charge per line on a sales order

  • 1.  Sales charge per line on a sales order

    Hello,

I have a need to add a charge to sales order for specific items and to calculate based on the quantity.
This is in addition to the sales price.
I tried the sales charge on the sales trade agreement and on the item released however since it is a fixed charge it just adds it to the sales price and applies any discount to the sales price + sales charge which we do not want.

We also tried the auto-charge by line but that shows only total charge for all lines.

Basically we need to be able to add a "charge" to each line and have it multiply by the sales order quantity separately from the sales price.  Then of course added to the sales amount.   We want to show the charge for each item on the sales order line.

Does anyone have any suggestions how to manage this in D365?

    thank you

    Anilda,

I'm not sure how to have it do the math for you, but you can add the charges to each line. Click Financials on Sales order lines, then select Maintain Charges. From there you can enter the charge you'd like to apply to each line.  I don't know that you can have each charge appear individually on the invoice.  I believe that is a custom feature, as ours sums all charges on the order and places it at the bottom of the invoice.

    Jessica,
Thank you for pointing that I can see the line charges per line.   Charges also appear for each line!
