Chrome crashing when using D365 close button (with x icon)

    Hi Everyone,

    We have a very weird problem in D365, clicking the top-left corner close button (with x icon) on some certain page leads to a chrome error page this message: Error code: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION. One case is when we are on a committed cost page for any given project. If the user wants to close the committed cost form using the X button the user getting an all-white chrome page with the error message as you can see in the attached photo.

    Few quick facts:

    · This happens in Chrome and Edge but not in

    · Worth noting that it doesn't happen all the time but rather sporadically

    Mitigations we took with no result: Update Chorme to latest version, clear cache, use Incognito mode, restart chrome, restart computer.

    any ideas on what could cause this?

    Hi Mohammad,

    I have experienced the same behavior in Chrome as well.  Unfortunately, I have not yet determined a way to reproduce it...or better yet, to avoid it!  I hope that someone in the community has a solution.

    Hi Corey,

    Thanks for the reply. Can you please tell me  since which version you are expereicing this? We are on V13 but this issue existed in V10.0.12 as well.

    We trasnfered this issue to Microsoft and they have no clue.
