Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to do a mass disposal-scrap of fixed assets? Like a journal upload?
Currently, we are doing it through a fixed asset journal and adding the asset line by line. There is currently about a thousand assets to be disposed by scrap so this is extremely time consuming.

Would appreciate if anyone has a better idea of doing this.

Hi Ethel,

What version are you on?

In D365 you can use the "Disposal - Scrap" proposal in the fixed assets journal lines.

There is a query available in the proposal form.  If the list of assets is too different to easily filter on the ones you want to load you might need to update the assets or attached books with a value to identify them and use that value in the query.  I used disposal date as a test (but you could use any unused field to identify them.

If you are on older version (AX2012 or earlier) I am not sure if that functionality exists.
