Prevent clocking to next operation until current operation is complete

Trying to prevent workers from clocking to an operation and beginning work until the full work order quantity is completed on previous job operation.
For example if a work order is for 10 pieces, worker cannot clock to Oper 20 until Oper 10 is complete and all 10 pieces are claimed.
The settings need to be Site specific.
I have tested the various Startup Quantity Validation settings in Production parameters by Site, but no success so far.

    Can this be accomplished?
    Thank you

    Hi,
When you say you tried the Quantity validation, did you set the Startup validation method to "Previous operation finished quantity"? This should prevent you from starting a quantity on an operation that was not completed on the previous one.

    Thanks

Thank you for the reply Andrew.

I wonder if I'm missing a setting, then, as I've tried just like you point out - but clocking to the first job of the work order gives an error

I tried the settings on Quantity Validation panel of Production Parameters By Site, as seen in picture below.

I created a new work order, scheduled and started it. When I tried clocking to its first operation, I receive the error "You cannot start a job with a start quantity of 0." I figured I must be doing something incorrectly.

There should be one extra column in your registration form for Start quantity. If you don't enter a quantity there, it attempts to start the work order for 0 rather than defaulting to the quantity on the work order. This field is really important especially when using the quantity validations.

Trying to fulfill another requirement, I've changed the Startup Quantity Validation to be "Production Started Quantity" but this does not give what I expected, probably I am misunderstanding the Startup Quantity Validation settings.

Desired is that if there is a scheduled quantity of 12 (ProdTable.QtySched) then you must complete 12 and End operation 10 before a worker can clock on to operation 20.
However, playing with that setting, it doesn't achieve this.
For example, with startup validation at Production Started Quantity and Feedback Validation at Prev. Op. Finished Qty, and with only 8 Good qty on operation 10, worker can still start full qty of 12 at operation 20

Should I be looking at different settings?

    Thank you

Try using the "Startup validation method" of "Previous operation finished qty" That should make it so you cannot start on operation 20 what you have not finished yet on operation 10.

    Thanks
