    Dear all,

I'm a data scientist and just came across a fairly old installation of MS Dynamics AX. It's version number 2009.
I need to do some data analysis in the sales process (O2C) and therefore would need an overview of how the tables are related.
So is there someone who still has some ER diagrams of the Sales & Marketing module around? If not 2009, 2012 would also be helpful.

    Thanks,
    Ben

    Ben,

As far as I know, there is no posted AX 2009 ERD anywhere online. Microsoft has long since retired both the AX 2009 and AX 2012 ERDs. They have however posted the source code necessary to generate your own ERD for AX 2012 for others to host (I host a copy on my site).

I will say though that this question has been asked before and the consensus is to use the Reverse Engineering Tool in the AOT by going to Tools -> Development Tools -> Reverse Engineer. Hope this helps!

    Thanks Alex for your reply.
I had a look at your site hosting the ERDs. However, I could not find ERDs that show the SalesTable and its related tables. Did I miss it? Nevertheless it helps a lot as all the relations between SalesTable and the other tables are listed and I can create an ERD on my own.

I also saw the discussion using the reverse engineering tool. That could be an option in my case as well but I'm not so experienced with Dynamics AX, so I have to ask the Dynamics professionals hosting the app.

    Thanks again,
    Ben

    Ben,

Use this link to show what tables reference the SalesTable
(Where the SalesTable is the header record)

Use this link to show where the SalesTable is being referenced by other tables
(Where the SalesTable is the child record)
