Restricted products blocks SO to a warehouse distribution centre

Wondering if anyone has found a way around restricted products and intercompany PO/SO required for a distribution centre?  We buy/sell between our warehouses, however if the sku is restricted, it prevents us selling it to our distribution centre because the country on the address lines for the warehouse is listed as restricted.
For example - I have restrictions in my US and UK company that product X is restricted for sale in UK. If I need this restricted sku in our UK warehouse, which is the distribution centre, and I enter a PO in UK, D365 attempts to create an intercompany SO in the US for shipment to the UK.  However, it gets blocked because the SO looks to the restricted products based on the address on the lines, and prevents the sale.  I need something like an "override" for a distribution centre.

Any ideas that are Out of Box that might address this? Any flags or parameters that might address this that I'm missing?
    Thanks

If you use warehouse management, the filter code setup allows you set up customer restrictions based on the filter codes and customer groups.  You can use the first 4 filter codes to mark items, and then use customer IDs or customer groups to control whether items with specified codes can be sold to customers.

Turning on warehouse management is not a simple step if you're not already using it, but the filter codes would give you a way to separate your customers by a rule, which you can't do with the item restrictions.

    Hi Kevin,
I did give this a try, but what I found was the product filter code exception for customer did not bypass the restriced products for countries/regions; rather it continues to get blocked.  I'm also not able to replace the restricted products for countries/regions with the product filter code because I need the restriction at the country/regional level to prevent the sale into a specific country.  The current restricted products for countries/regions would work if it would allow me to bypass for intercompany vendor/customer accounts, which I could sell into a country where I have a distribution centre.

Sounds like the functionality I'm looking for may be an enhancement request.
And now I know how to use the product filter codes!

    Thanks for the suggestoin Kevin

You would have to use the filter code function instead of the restricted products function, not as a extension.  You'd have to have separate customer groups for each country and a special customer group for your DC customer.  There's a lot of setup, but you could control the restrictions at a lower level of detail than the country code.
