How to filter F&O data in Power BI

  • 1.  How to filter F&O data in Power BI

    Posted 25 days ago
    Hello all,

If I want to access F&O data in Power BI (Desktop or later in Power BI Service), how to make the data auto filter based on user id log in ?
For example, my user id is attached to company = "USMF", the data in Power BI only showing data with dataareaid='USMF'

    Thanks,

    Hi WW,

I assume you are using the odata connector to get data from Dynamics Finance. You will need to add the "cross-company=true" filter at the end of the URL to get all legal entities/companies:

    https://d365tenantname.operations.dynamics.com/data/LedgerJournalMultiCollection&cross-company=true

Odata works fine for smaller datasets, however, if there will be a lot of transactions, BYOD is the best option for getting access to your data.

    Kind Regards,

    Mike
