D365 Finance & Operations and Dynamics AX Forum

Greetings, is there a resource that shows the mapping between entities in ax 2012 to D365? For example Vendors,  If I pull the data from ax2012 R3 using the DIEF functions, how do the columns map to the entity in D365? Not all the fields have the same or similar names. Is there a map that shows this field in the ax 2012 entity maps to this field in the D365 entity.

Hi Eric,

Having taken a client through upgrades and worked with both for a while, the fields are basically the same, just combined into an entity - if you have access to D365, use the data management and create an export to export the vendor entity to get all the fields available and then compare - that is the easiest from a front end functional standpoint.  The entity map does show the relationships as well so you can see which tables are being combined.
