We are on AX 2012 R3 CU13.  In one of our companies we use Batch numbers for both raw material and finished goods.  These numbers are assigned automatically are product receipt and RAF of finished goods based on the Number group.  There are occasions where we need to split a container of finished goods into different Batch numbers.  We seem to be missing something in the process when creating the new Batch number.  We go to Inv Mgmt>Inquiries>Dimensions>Batches to create the new number.  We sort to find the next available number and create it.  The issue is that the NumberSequenceTable.NextRec is not updated.  Is there a different/better way to manually create the Batch number?  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mark,

I am not sure if there is another way to do that that would update the number sequence table.  We had a parallel issue where the majority of our inventory transfers and inventory adjustments come from our third party WMS system, but we still occasionally make manual entries directly into AX. We ended up having to make 2 different number sequences, 1 for the auto-created entries and 1 for the manual created entries.
