Hi Scott,
You can have different UOMs set on an item. For example, you can purchase in lbs, inventory in oz., and then sell in lbs. You would set the units in each of those sections on your item appropriately, then ensure that a Unit conversion exists on the item between those units specified. When you create a PO, it will automatically pull the Purchase unit, then when you inventory, it will automatically pull the inventory unit, and when you sell, it will automatically convert to the sell unit.
