    Hello All,

Is there a way to automatically charge a late fee to a customer who is past due on an invoice?

    Please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Sam

Did you look at the Interest Codes functionality in the Credit and Collections module?

We are on AX2012 r2 CU6, so it should be the same for you.  We charge customers finance charges monthly on past due invoices.  There is some setup in AX, and a process you need to run to create the interest charge.  I am guessing you could set it up in a batch if you want it to happen automatically.

Go to Accounts receivable -> Setup -> Collections -> Interest

Then you will need to set up a charges group and assign that to customers you want the interest charge to apply to.
Once all the setup is done, go to Accounts Receivable -> Periodic -> Collections -> Interest calculation.  This is what calculates the interest for the past due balance.
