Campaigns in AX 2012 R2

We are starting to use our AX for more CRM functions and are interested in starting to use campaigns for email marketing. I see that we can use HTML in our email templates.  Does anyone have any helpful tools in doing so? Or can you share how you use it and some best practices you have found?  We are new to HTML so I am also wondering what capabilities AX  has using it.  We have used MailChimp in the past as we like how you can design and customize your layouts, but would love to do this into AX if possible. Can you do that with HTML in the AX email templates? OR does anyone have any good resources for us to look at? I recently downloaded Murray Fife's blue print on configure sales and marketing for CRM but he only says you can use HTML and doesn't say anything else about it.

    Thank you.

Here at Dynamics Resources we specialize in Dynamics 365, all versions of AX, and CRM. I ran your question by one of my experts.

Unfortunately the best way to manage the html code in email templates is to hire a programmer.
If you are still using MailChimp, there is a link to a function to export the templates in html format. Then you can use them in AX. But it is necessary that all the resources that you are going to use as images are hosted on a server, that is, hosted on MailChimp.
Then the CSS tags that give style to the typography is necessary to have them in the same file to be used in AX. For that MailChimp has another tool that embeds the CSS styles in the body of the html:
After having the final html file, copy / paste in html editor in AX and do the necessary tests
