Recently we created a new entity for business in the EU. When creating a routing a purchase requisition for approval is is error after the initial financial approval with the following error.
"Stopped (error): X++ Exception: An exchange rate cannot be found for exchange rate type between currencies EUR and USD on exchange date 5/2/2019."
    at SysWorkflowHierarchyProvider-resolve
    SysWorkflowHierarchyProvider-resolveHierarchy
    SysWorkflowQueue-resume

Note that is not stating that there is an error with the rate it appears that its stating that there is not a type (two spaces between Type and Between).
I verified the General Leger and and exchange rate types and we do have them all populated correctly.

I'm very new to this processed on where to be able to look next and have had a few people look as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This error shows when the new companies are not correctly set up, also the vendors used and the values in the Purchase Orders are not filled correctly. In the Ledger parameters must be a default exchange rate which is proposed in every transaction, so, if the user wants to change it manually in every document is optional. Also, the exchange rates for the mentioned currencies must be uploaded in the determined exchange rate type. So, this issue can have several roots, but can begin reviewing those parameters and details from the documents.

I hope this helps, feel free to reach out anytime!!

Michael; Thank you for replying. I've looked high and looked low, and can't find that needle in a haystack.
As you can see we have closing and default all set up correctly.
I do not see anything on the entity or the vendors that would pull this information but think it is more of the workflow on where to look for this information.
We have two people who know more about this both on paternity leave this week. So I'm trying to fill in.

Can you think of anywhere else I could look?

Can access and send us privately the "LEDGER parameters" so we can see if is in its place? Also, the line details part of the PO on the General tab so we can see if the PO is bringing that information. Otherwise, we will need to debug the error and look for ourselves.

Just want to let everyone know sometimes the simplest solution is the hardest to find. All of the settings were properly configures but in sys admin / setup / system parameters there was no default system exchange rate type..

" Did you check to see if it was plugged in"

    Thanks for all the support.
