Purchase Requisition Questions

    Good day!

We are trying to give users read only rights to purchase requisitions or figure out a way to get the approval documents that are attached at the requisition level to be viewable at the purchase order level. Any help with this would be great!

    Thanks!!

    Hi Carlyle,

There are privileges in the security configuration settings that should help with that. I haven't tested it myself, but it seems to me that it should work if you create a duty and/or role (or assign to an existing role that does not have edit access to purchase requisitions):

    - View purchase requisition headers
    - View purchase requisition lines

Any attachment to purchase requisitions should be visible by granting view-access to the header and lines.

    Kerstin,

Thanks for the information. I just tested the rights that you suggested - but still no go. I have uploaded the privileges and duties that I have assigned. I started off with just the base system user as a duplicated role. Any other pointers - please let me know. Thanks!

I just did some testing myself, seems a little more complicated, but doable:
    - Create an employee/worker record for the user and link to the user record
    - Provide privilege "maintain all purchase requisitions" to the user
    - Create new privilege that has a Action menu items "PurchReqCreatePurch_Action" set to Deny for update, create, and delete and assign to user

I have tested this and I can view all purchase reqisitions but not create or update anything on the purchase requisition screen - however I was able to delete or add new attachments, I am not sure if that is something you would want to restrict as well? If so, I am not sure how to do that as it seems to be a general "document handling" privilege that might not just apply to attachments on this screen but all document attachments in the whole system.
