Master Scheduling

Good afternoon, I am new to master planning/scheduling in AX and had a quick question. I recently went in and set up an Item coverage for a particular item to test the planned order function. I went in and ran the master planning and it went through successfully. I was able to go in and firm up the planned order to a po. I then went in to test canceling the po and re-running the master planning to see if it would re-create the planned order based on the needed requirement. It did not work, so I went back into the net requirements field and it is still showing the po that was canceled. How do I resolve this issue?

    Hi Jim,

It sounds as if you are using two plans?  Or are you using one plan to run planning?  If the order is still showing, which plan are you running?  When you cancel the PO, did you do it in your dynamic or static plan?

It sounds as if you firmed the order in your static plan, which would also show then in your dynamic plan.  You then deleted the order and you looked in your static plan and it still showed?  If you look in your dynamic plan, it should be gone.

Let us know your set up please

Another possibility is that the PO has not been confirmed after you cancelled it.
