2020 1099s

Is anyone else having trouble getting your 1099s to print correctly in the boxes provided on the form? Are there tips and tricks that we don't know about. Or, is there a certain form that we should be using that is different than what you buy at the big box retailers?

    Thanks,

    Hello,

Yes, we had the same issue. In my opinion that SSRS report that prints the 1099 format has not been updated in sometime now. The only way you can get the printing to align correctly will be to have a developer fix the placement of the data. In my opinion you are better off just exporting the data and importing it to the many services that will print, mail and file all your 1099's.

If you do development to properly align the amounts to boxes as Juan suggests, be sure to use one designated printer, and test on that printer.  Different print drivers can print slightly differently, I've found.
