    Hello,

I have a request from a user to be able to submit expense reports via their mobile phone. Is this currently possible?

I have downloaded the dynamics 365 app and the Finance and Operations app (dont get me started) and I am struggling. I now earlier this year when I was playing with the Mobile Timesheets app that Microsoft was still working out some kinks. Is this another area where kinks are being wokred out or am I missing something?

    Thanks in advance.

    Stuart

What version are you on?  I have configured it a couple of times and it is not hard.  Should take less than half a day to get the basics published and the mobile app is fantastic.   Only reason we aren't using it is because of our travel planning system.  Feel free to contact me directly, if you want to look at it together.

    Stuart,

You'll need to deploy the expense management mobile workspace in order to have it display on the Finance and Operations mobile application. That process itself is pretty quick. In regards to configuring which fields are available for display, you'll do so within the expense management module.

By default, you'll be able to take pictures of receipts, create an expense, create and submit an expense report, and approve expense reports if you are a part of the expense management workflows.

The data feed back to D365 is pretty quick, I haven't hit any snags there. However, if you hit any errors on the mobile app, the syncing will hold up any post-error submissions and you'll need to delete and reinstall the app or change legal entities to clear it out.

I have also seen scenarios where the mobile app will throw errors (e.g., location is missing when submitting an expense) and this has been due to specific expense management license keys not being configured in the sys admin module.
