This would require XDS / record level security to implement. And keep in mind, if this proprietary formula is really secret, you would also want to restrict access to production / batch order formulas for this item, and BOM / Formula explosions from MRP and cost rolls if you are standard cost.

Hi Alex,
Thanks for the response. We have all of our formulas in the form: Product information management > Bills of Material and Formulas > Formula.
Lets say we have 100 formulas in that page, we are ok with our formula team (who already have the security roles designed to maintain that page) seeing the formula lines for 99 of the formulas, but 1 of the formulas is proprietary and we would like to limit the access to that formula to one selected user.
Is that possible?

Austin,
Which formulas specifically are you looking to secure? What form do these appear on?
Just trying to figure out where these are used to know what security to apply.

Regarding formula security, is there a way in D365 to limit the access to certain formulas only to selected users?
So basically, users with formula access could see 99.99% of the formulas, but they could not access the specific formulas unless configured to do so.
Thanks!
