We have a situation where a vendor was created with USD for the currency. A purchase order was added with 75 lines. 2 of the lines have been received and invoice processed.

The users noticed that the vendor should have been CAD for currency. The vendor has been changed. However, we can not change the currency on the purchase order. I believe this is because invoicing has been processed and posted against the PO.

We would like suggestions as to how to proceed to get the currency changed if it is possible.

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are running AX 2012 R3.

    Nick,
There are a couple of options.  You can negative receive the quantities, close the PO, and create a new PO with the desired currency.  Alternatively, you can invoice in a different currency than the PO was originated in.  Go ahead and test both senarios in a sandbox environment to see which you prefer.

    HI Nick,
For the lines that have already been received and invoiced, I would create a credit against those invoices and then remake the invoice in the correct currency.  As James has recommended you should be able to invoice in a different currency than the PO.  For the other 73 lines that have not been received, I would cancel those lines and then make a new PO in the correct currency.
    Thanks,
    Barclay

I presented both options to the end-users. They decided on Barclay's suggestion.

    Thank you for the suggestions!!
