Batch Number Tracking by Site

    Hi,
We have recently started to run into an interesting scenario. We have a raw good that is shared between two sites. One of those sites requires that the batch number be assigned in the purchase order. The other site does NOT need a batch number.

We currently have the tracking setup for "batch number group" on the released product set to manual, so it wont assign by default.

Is there a way to have the batch number get assigned based on the receiving site and/or warehouse that is selected when creating the PO? i.e. if they pick site "A" then assign a batch but if they pick site "B" do not assign a batch?

    Hi Justin,
Interesting scenario. Such a configuration doesn't exist at this point in Standard product.

    Thanks,

    Hi Cooper,
There is no configuration available in standard system, You can achieve through customization.
    Thanks

Is there a requirement that both sites use the same part number? If not then you could have separate part numbers with one being batch controlled and one not. Other than that possible workaround, the only other thing is that you will need to do some sort of customization. But since you are dealing with the batch tracking dimension, it will be tricky and not an easy customization.
