When does your credit card payment setup charge the card?
With our setup, we would generate the packing slip when the customer picks up the item (which is the same to AX as if the carrier picked it up when we ship product). Then a batch process invoices and charges the card.
If you want to charge the card exactly at the same time as the customer is picking it up (and make sure it charges before they leave with the product), then someone would have to either post the packing slip and invoice the order manually, or go straight to invoicing the order without posting the packing slip first (if your setup allows it).
Just a thought. Not sure if that fits with your requirements or not.

I am looking for some help and advice for setting up "Buy online, pick up in-store". I am working on a project where we will have a customer make a purchase in our online store but collect their merchandise in our brick and mortar store. Our normal online purchases come in to AX and go through Warehouse management, they are picked then shipped. With BOPIS I am considering this same process but have the picklist print in store so that we can pick and hand off to the customer, but how would I capture funds when the customer arrives, this isn't a POS sale? This option is not the fastest option either. I'm also toying with bypassing warehouse management and pushing the online order receipt to the retail location and have them then manually create the sale in POS and complete the transaction/capture, but i'm not sure this is the best option either, how do I connect the online order to the POS sale? How are you making this work?
ANY help is very much appreciated.
