Thank you both for your responses!
I think we figured out that we shouldn't have used numbers in the first place, the system is smart enough to know what company to apply which number sequence code to if that's how they're set up.. So technically we should have just called it APADJ for every company we have rather than APADJNE01 etc. I think we're ok with duplicates because the system will apply the correct ones although it is slightly confusing for the end user if they see codes that technically belong to another company.
Thank you again!

I take similar approach to that of Shirley, but instead I use the Excel add-in to upload number sequences.
I find the UI is easier to view and resolve errors.

Hi Kerstin,
In every implementation, we have issues with this kind of thing. The last one, we ended up with some number sequences that had a retail component and we are not using retail at all! We now have a standard set of number sequences that we store in Excel - we update the company code for the ones that incorporate that and then use DMF to import. It sounds tedious but I think it's really better than trying to fix it after it's been copied. Be sure to import the references as well if you are looking for a brand new company setup and are adding parameters and such.

Does anyone have advice on copying number sequences when creating new legal entities?
What I have done:
- Create a "copy into legal entity" project and selected the option to copy number sequences with that resetting to lowest value
What I am seeing:
- Duplicated number sequence codes that have different formats depending on the company value in the format
