Hi Pirmin. We're currently in a similar situation. We're upgrading AX R2>R3 and also ManagmentReporter (MR) CU7>CU16.During testing, we discovered MR rejects "bad" records resulting in skewed reports.
By analyzing the rejected data, we determined the two tables (GENERALJOURNALACCOUNTENTRY (GJAE) and BUDGETTRANSACTIONLINE (BTL)) where a change to the financial dimension will need to be made.
I wrote a script that will do this for us. We have over 5,000 such records (results of keying errors over last 6 years).
So far, we have done this in our non-production system and all looks good. Our consultants gave us the green light.
But, if you only have a handful of records, it may be faster/easier/safer to do what Juan suggested.
