    Good Morning,

     I have a requirement for revenue recognition in Project Management and Accounting that D365 PM&A seems to be unable to handle, so I would like to bounce it off of the community here.

    The business case is that we have a fixed price parent project with a time an materials subproject.  Milestones/on account billings go through the fixed price project where items and related expenses are processed and invoiced through the time and materials subproject.  Both projects share the same contract.  Revenue recognition needs to happen across both projects (top level and subproject as a group), so the posted costs and revenues from the project hierarchy must be included in the rev rec calculation (% of completion) for the top level, Fixed Price project. 

    Has anyone dealt with this requirement in D365 before and if so how?
    Does anyone know of an available partner solution for this scenario?
    Please also suggest workarounds.

    Joe,

    We do revenue recognition separately for our FP and T&M sub-project.  I'm not aware of a solution for this.  We have developed a tool for capturing % complete for all projects and are heading in the direction of having the option of using that tool for revenue recognition, but we are not there yet.  Please let me know if you find anything
