Help on Importing Purchase Order thru DIEF/DIXF

    Hello all,

We are using AX2012 R3 CU12, we are trying to implement AP Automation so we are changing from using Purchase Agreement (PA) to Purchase Order (PO). We are looking into the DIEF/DIXF to convert all our PA to PO. We are able to transfer all the information needed except "Procurement Category". We wonder if anyone done that before can give use some insight on how to map the Procurement Category.

The issue we have is missing Procurement Category in PO after the transfer. Even the PO is open and draft, we cannot even add it back (locked by AX) after the import.

Please let us know if you have any suggestions we can try / need more information from us.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi Kalman,

I do assume you did an export with all puchase agreements? Does this have the correct category? Did you check the field mappings during import? Can you see the category in the staging or is the staging category empty? Can you add the category if you manually create a purchase order line?

    Hi Andre,

    Thanks for your reply!

Yes, export all Purchase Agreement already and able to line up with field map in Purchase Order. All the category seems matching OK and the field mapping is valid in AX. We also imported the Purchase order into AX properly except missing "Procurement Category".

Unfortunately, we don't see "Procurement Category" in generate source file nor staging. We reach out to our AX partner and they believe upgrading to newest version (from 2017 to 2019) would help reset the listing during Generate Source File. We are in the process of upgrading our AX and hope it will solve our issues.

    Thanks again!
