    All,

    After an order is placed on hold, we are getting the message, "Sales Order holds -User is not authorized to clear hold code", when we attempt to clear the Hold it out 'User is not authorized to clear hold code'.

    I am set up with System Administrator. The Hold Code is set up with a specific "Custom" Supervisor role.
    The "Custom" Supervisor role has the specific Duty "Maintain sales order holds".
    The Privileges beneath the Duty all remain as set to GRANT for all options.
    I navigated through the Security Diagnostics and found the specific Privilege that needs to be enacted - MCRHOLDCODETRANSSOCREATE - which all options are set to GRANT...
    I'm not sure of the answer here... What am I missing? What can be wrong?

    Try adding yourself to the role of "Maintain sales order holds" in addition to the role "System Administrator", sign out and sign in again and try again.

    Side question --- we are still on 2012. But from what you're saying, I'm reading it as System Administrator role no longer has the ability to perform all AX functionalities? Is that correct? Did they make changes to SA role for better SOX compliancy?

    Hi,

    This is supposed that SysAdm role must perform all AX functionalities, but if his problem is not yet solved, so it was just a suggestion.
