Have a D365 situation I have not seen, and looking for some guidance. We have some production orders where there is no estimated cost on the BOM components.  We have Production orders that have been estimated and started that show no estimated cost. Microsoft said that it was because BOM components were added to the prod BOM and that a re-estimation would not add estimated cost if the material added used standard cost. I tested this and took a production order with no BOM and added an item that uses standard cost, it did populate the estimated cost upon re-estimation of the order. The orders we had this happen on had estimated fine earlier , and then after we had the issue I had new orders for the items created and estimated, they worked perfectly. On the orders that had no estimated cost, I changed the quantity and then re-estimated, and there was no estimated cost on the production order.  Has anyone run into a similar issue and what did you discover. I have searched the blogs, and the boards, but I am not coming up with anything so far. That is why we opened a case with Microsoft, but so far they have only offered that it would not re-estimate and assign a cost if the item was std cost, but that proves not accurate. thanks and appreciate any help you can give.

Is it as simple as the "calculation" flag is unticked?

Wish it was, that was one of the first things I checked.
