loading history into new implementation

I am spinning up a new implementation of D365 and want to load 3 years of sales history for all customers.  The people I am working with are telling me this is very difficult to load  closed sales orders for the last 3 years.   Does anyone know a way the directly import sales history through an existing or custom entity?  or is there another way to do this.
    Thank you
    Greg

    Hello,

This is very tricky indeed. Your best bet is to use the sales order header and lines entities to upload sales journals for your history. You need to use sales journals as they won't create GL transactions, nor will they create inventory transactions (If you have inventory). In my experience, I always try to steer clients away from importing sales history into D365FO. For reporting purposes put that data into a database and then merge with new data using a data warehouse, powerbi or another BI tool
