    You can assign Responsibilities to a Case category.

    At the same place, you can assign an Employee to each Responsibility.

    I cannot find anywhere on a Case (or associated Activity) where the Responsibilities assigned to a Case category are important. What is the point of assigning Resposibilities to a Case category.... what does it do?

    It's more of what needs to be done and then by whom and can be used in case process flow and workflow
