    Good Morning,

In AX 2012 on the Vendor Invoice form > Line View > Line Details > Financial Dimensions
Where is AX pulling the Financial Dimensions ( DefaultDimension ) from?
The main table for this form seems to be VendInvoiceInfoLine, and looking at VendInvoiceInfoLine.DeafultDimension it seems like it is mostly ( but not always 0 ), so the form seems to getting its value from somewhere else?

    Thank you,
    Barclay

    Hi Barclay,

I'm using D365 however the functionality is the same as in AX2012.  The financial dimensions on the vendor invoice are pulled from the purchase order.  The financial dimensions on the purchase order are pulled from the vendor and/or item.

    Hi Donna,

Thank you.  This is re-assuring.  We had some old POs that were imported from 2009 and we were trying to clear them, but the invoices were getting unusual financial dimensions.  Eventually we had to turn off the advanced rule for posting to get them to process and then did manual journals to relocate ( turned the advanced rule back on ).

    Thanks,
    Barclay
