Service Management

    AX 2012 R3, CU 8 upgradinng to CU12 this year.

    We are wondering how to setup and utilize Service Management.  We have a technical and warranty service dept that would need to log serial numbers and track SLAs.  Have those that use Service Management found it to be a good tool? Are there any recommendations or tips out there?

    ​Hi Lauren,
    You can use service agreements to track SLA's for a given customer under the standard service management module, it may have the functionality you need to satisfy that requirement.
    I assume that you want to track serial numbers of service objects/machines that have been sold. This could also be done through the service management module but you have need to do some light customizations to tie it all together if I recall correctly.

    Hey Elena,

    Since Lauren posted, Dynamics 365 for Field Service has been released and is a pretty good tool, depending on what you're looking for.  You might take a look in that direction, too.
