Has anyone had experience with integrating the UPS shipping program ShipExec/ConnectShip with AX 2012 R3?

    Hello Jan,

I recently integrated a client to UPS WorldShip with out of the box functionality in AX 2012 R3. Not sure how different ShipExec/ConnectShip are from WorldShip.

I have experiences at a few places, integrating WorldShip and FexEx ship manager.  With Worldship, I found a few items to be incomplete, in the "ShipCarrierShippingRequest" table, when mapping items.  I had to extend the columns by a few, to take into account things like purchase order number and ability to send emails using the Quantum View.

There are some setup items to perform in AX, to be sure your MoD and setup codes are going to map properly, and some training by the Customer Service staff (or order entry / shippers) to understand what needs to happen.

Anything specific you are running into issues with, or just a conversation starter for people with examples?

Did you find out anything when doing your integration?  We are looking at it too - and found out that they want the ShipCarrier... (like the ShipCarrierStaging, etc...) information at the time of closeContainer.  But that set of table don't get updated until the packing slip is created - so we are pulling out hair out trying to figure how to implement this.
