Timesheets in project accounting

  • 1.  Timesheets in project accounting

    Posted Dec 03, 2014 01:34 PM
We are using timesheets in project accounting and want to add certain validations included in time and attendance systems, and need to determine how to close/lock timesheet periods without closing the related projects. Any suggestions or anyone using in this manner?

    Thank you

Deb, where do you link the calendar to the person submitting the timesheet?
Or linking the calendar for the whole company?

    Zvika,

The calendar is linked to the person in Human Resources.  Navigate to: HR > Employees > Select the employee > Select the Project task bar > Open Project Setup.
The Max Hours Calendar field is where you select the calendar.

There is also a setting in the Project Management and Accounting Parameters that may be helpful.  On the Timesheet tab there is a field called Block Future Timesheet Entries.  Set this field to Yes to prevent employees from enter time for future dates.
