We are running multiple year ends for one of our companies, a calendar year and a fiscal year (December 31st and March 31st). We have set up opening and closing periods in AX for both year ends. We have created both the closing sheets (December 31 and March 31st) and posted the opening transactions for both year ends. The only trial balance report in AX I can find that allows me to run across years (April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015) is the divided trial balance report. However this divided trial balance report does not give us the correct opening balances. When I run a trial balance for the month of April 2014 I get the correct opening balances. I was told AX has the ability to handle multiple year ends and I am sure other companies do this with AX. Any advice on how to properly set up multiple year ends and how to run a trail balance report across years for example April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015?
