Our Kentucky D365/AXUG Chapter Meeting on Thursday, November 14, at Texas Roadhouse in Louisville was simply amazing!  A huge thank you to Texas Roadhouse, Kristal Baird, and Aaron Hamilton for hosting at their beautiful new facility and for their extraordinary hospitality.  They have certainly set the bar high!

Imagine being greeted at the front door by Andy the Armadillo with a big "Welcome AXUG" sign!  It put a big smile on my face.  Then we started the day with Texas Roadhouse cheers about legendary passion, legendary people, and legendary food followed by Fun, Fun, Fun!  :)

JoAnn Wellman and Mike Grob of Crowe LLP presented a demo of the RSAT (Regression Suite Automation Tool) for D365FO.  RSAT is a tool used to automate test cases/scenarios within D365FO.  As with any tool, it comes with pros and cons.  One con is that it takes a lot of time to design and build out the test cases/scenarios, and some modules like Warehouse Management are not covered.  However, the pros greatly outweigh the cons.   Once built out, RSAT proves itself to be invaluable with consistent and automated testing.  This especially comes in handy with all those updates that Microsoft will push out during the year.  Picture yourself kicking off the tests before you leave one night and having your pass/fail results when you walk in the next morning.  JoAnn and Mike also provided helpful tips for creating a successful RSAT process.

Steve Norris, Director of Pre-Sales, Supply Chain Collaboration, TrueCommerce presented Doing Business in Every Direction with Dynamics AX & D365FO.  Connectivity is the key!  In today's world customers want flexibility.  They want to order anywhere, anytime, any format and deliver to any location.  In doing business both customers and suppliers want real time info at their fingertips.  The future is Cloud – having everyone on the same version and built on robust technology.   New tools are needed to keep pace with the expectations of today's omni-channel savvy customers.

Kristal Baird, Director of Accounting Systems, Texas Roadhouse closed out the presentations with a Members Showcase.  She gave an overview of their AX implementation, ISV solutions and reporting, current projects, current statistics, brand overview, and a fantastic program called Andy's Outreach to help fellow Roadies in need.  Kristal also reminded us that Summit 2020 would be in Nashville Oct 6th through 9th and the lowest pricing for prior attendees is only good until the end of November.

At the end of our day we had some pretty awesome door prizes to give out compliments of Texas Roadhouse, Crowe LLP and TrueCommerce, followed up by a mix and mingle networking opportunity.

If you attended the meeting, please go to our chapter site and fill out the meeting survey.  Your chapter leadership team welcomes your feedback as well as suggestions for educational topics and program ideas.

Be sure to join us for our next meeting coming up in January.  More details to follow!
