Happy New Year!
I don't generally do New Year's Resolutions. But I do pause to get a sense of what matters to me in a new year, and a recurring theme this year is Community. Which seems especially appropriate for thinking about how I can contribute to Dynamic Communities.
I think in terms of what I can contribute vs. what I can get from the community, because in every situation I believe the saying, "Whatever is missing is what you aren't bringing".
Think about it. Want more content on a particular topic? Research and present it. The engagement will inspire others, and the discussion will inform you as well. Want more cross-pollination between the formerly separate groups, like CRM and Power Platform? Join a discussion group you haven't visited before. Attend a webinar outside your core product.
It all adds up to... well, a more dynamic community!
So as I consider presentations for FOCUS, new format and topics for meetings as a Chapter Leader, and Webinars I could prepare, I challenge each of you to think of one thing you can bring to the community this year. The community only thrives as a resource if we stretch to help each other.
And, if you have an idea: bring that too, in the comments!
Let's make 2020 an amazing year of Community growth.
