Lost admin access and many modules from VM environment

    Posted 15 days ago
    Hi all,

Today, I lost all admin access to the environment. Similarly, lot of modules have disappeared. This happened when I put the VM into maintenance mode and made couple of changes to the license configuration. Other admins on this environment are facing same issue. When I try to go into SysConfiguration, get the following error message.

Access Denied: You do not have sufficient permissions to open the menu item sysconfiguration.

Is there any way to re-set the licence configuration to factory settings without loosing data?

    Thanks,

    Amit

It seems that your user account does not have the System Administrator role. Maybe you are not logged in with the right account.

    Hi Miha,
Thanks for your reply. I do have system administrator role. I am also listed on LCS as Environment Admin. However, the problem started when I put the VM in maintenance mode and incorrectly (by the looks of it) turned off Commerce Essential Keys from configuration key group of the license configurator. I wanted to turn off Dynamics for Retail Essentials. Once the maintenance mode was switched off, I could sign into the environment, but with very few modules, most of which are reporting. I am unable to go into license configuration anymore to revert the setting.
    Hope this helps,

    Regards,
    Amit
