Tax Providers question

Looking for information on Tax Providers -
We use Wolters Kluwer (CCH SureTax) integrated to D365 F&O and integrated into SalesForce Commerce Cloud (SFCC)...
Do other D365 F&O clients use CCH SureTax as their Tax Provider platform?
What other Tax Providers are used?
Would you be willing to talk to us about your experiences regarding Operational Support with your  Tax Provider platform?

Avalara's Avatax is the other major solution provider that is typically evaluated.

We have been using AvaTax for several years.  We have been satisified with the return, remit, and reporting services they provide, but the support is very poor.  When we open a ticket, not matter the level of severity, we usually have to chase our account rep to get them to even look at it.  Also, they recently redesigned their website and I find the new design extremely difficult to navigate.  This maybe just me getting old.  I have more luck google searching for the AvaTax information I want than going to their website.

Am working with clients who need a VAT solution for D365 F&O.  I know that my other clients who have Avalara are not happy as it does not handle VAT and no ability to add tax tables that are custom as not all tables for some country are available.  They are looking for something else.  I have worked with CCH many times for global companies and we did not have any issues.  I want to compare Vertex to CCH to see any differences.  I also like CCH as it is a true interface with the GL tax groups & codes whereas Avalara is it's own module which I think Vertex is also.  Anyone who has used Vertex for VAT?

    Hi Deb,
You may try VAT IT.  I've had great success working with them in the past, connecting my clients with them.

The main benefit/use of the sales tax applications is in keeping track of the many different tax rates in the USA, and remitting tax to the many different authorities.

These complications do not really exist in VAT countries, so it is hard for me to see what benefit these applications can provide to a client.
The out of the box functionality in D365 is quite good in facilitating recording / reporting / remitting of typical VAT situations.

Does your client have specific / complex VAT requirements?
