    Hello fellow peeps!
We have a new requirement to print a gray scale logo on a label during the document routing process. We have been successfull at converting a jpg to a black and white ZPL logo, but I don't know how to convert one to gray scale ZPL.
As always, thanks in advance for your help!!

I guess a normal label printer can only print black, or not (white). Have you got a special label printer that can print colours?

My guess is that this is a zebra B&W, single ribbon printer. There are a couple of ways to approach this. One is to send the print job as bit map, which usually kills the barcode resolution. Other is to manipulate your image to have interspersed white pixels (like old newsprint). If the printer is 203 or 300 dpi, this might not be very satisfactory. If 600 dpi, should be fine. I guess a 3rd option is to pre-print label stock - yech.

We have the start of the label!! Under the labelary documentation http://labelary.com/docs.html there are ZPL extensions for simulating color stock. We used the ~BI command. Even more important is that your image must be converted to Base64 scheme. We would used free tool for the conversion. Thank you everyone for your feedback!
