Error in changing status of an AR invoice

    Hi,

    We have this error when changing status as promise to pay / disputed against an AR invoice in AX 2012.

    "Cannot create a record in Activities (smmActivities). Activity number: AC000019, Change status. The record already exists."

    Would anyone know how to fix this?

    This looks like a number sequence issue.

    Can you please find the number sequence used for the activities and check the status list?

    Hi Ethel,

    I agree with Bianca, this looks to be an issue with the number sequence.

    Typically when I see this sort of issue, there's a value stuck in the status list for the number sequence in question.

    1. Identify the number sequence that is related to the activity.
    2. Navigate to Organization Administration>Common>Number sequences>Number sequences, then find the sequence in the list.
    3. Click Status list from the Administration area of the Ribbon (see attached photo)
    4. Select any values the resulting table, then select File>Delete.
    This should resolve the issue.
