    Hi all,

We're a retail company with 350 stores and a high volume of inventory transactions (including drop shipment PO's to stores, mass PO updates, mass inventory transfers, returns, etc..) and currently use a different system that interfaces with D365. We're experiencing some issues and wondering if we're the norm in using a different system for inventory control, and the pros/cons of using D365 if we were to make the switch. We're currently on D365 Finance and Operations version 10.0.7.

Does anyone have any experience to share, ideally with regards to retail? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hi Beth,

I didn't see anyone had responded to you on this.  Certainly there are more questions to be asked in order to determine if your approach is right or wrong.  Please feel free to message me if you are still needed some guidance or response.  I've been in retail solution delivery for over 30+ years and on the MS Retail AX/D365 for the last 5+ years.

    Kindest,

    Rod

    Hi Beth,

I believe your "neighbors" at LUSH are using D365 to manage inventory in their stores, I don't personally have a contact there, but maybe  @Chris Ho Yee, our chapter lead knows someone you can speak with?

Another Vancouver neighbor, at Saje, are using the inventory module - however their store numbers are lower so maybe not best fit from a volume point of view.

Unfortunately, I don't think either of these 2 companies are members of AXUG, so I don't expect them to be reading this forum.

As to profile of use - I think they all use the Dynamics/Microsoft POS - so there are advantages around using a single integrated system to see inventory across warehouses and stores, while calculating inventory values in D365 from accounting point of view.
