Looking for the ability to add an expiration date to line items on a Sales Order for subscription orders. Would like to get rid of our excel spreadsheet and utilize D365. Anyone have any options/suggestions?

Are there any date fields that aren't being utilised that you could hijack and rename?

There is also the ability within D365 to add a field  which could then be published out to all users and made a part of the entity as part of personalisation options (as a partner I should be suggesting developing this as it will mean your solution is a lot more robust and able to be copied better but if you are happy to repeat the process in all your environments manually then you should be ok)

If its just you using this information then there is heaps you could then do with PowerApps and PowerAutomate that could be really quite a lot of fun! The Sales Order Line Entity is available via premium connectors and if you have a D365 Finance/Supply Chain License then you can use these connectors :D

    Hi Mary,

Have you considered using Sales agreements?

    Hi Mary,

Is this for subscription items that can't be fulfilled due to no stock on hand?  Have you looked into the retail headquarters / call center functionality for automatic notification and cancellation?  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamicsax-2012/appuser-itpro/set-up-notification-and-cancellation-for-delayed-orders

Also, Lachlan has a decent video on retail subscription orders in case you're not using those: https://organicax.com/2015/04/27/sales-order-subscription/

All this is 2012 R3 documentation, but I believe its still the same in D365.
