SSCC Code by Case

    All,

In AX and D365 the standard functionality for creating SSCC codes is at the License Plate level per the blog post below:

    http://kashperuk.blogspot.com/2014/09/tutorial-generating-shipping-labels.html

Has anyone had a client that needs to do an SSCC code at the case level AND the License Plate level for sales order picking and had Dynamics create both of the SSCC codes?

    Thanks,

One item to note is these are pre-built cases and they're picking whole cases, not building cases at the time of picking.

Hi Jonathan, can you make Case = LP? If you define your unit sequence group ID with Case as the larger unit and tick the "License plate grouping" checkbox for the units less than a case, then you can control for various processes that an LP is automatically generated for anything that equals a case and anything less than a case is a separate LP. So for example, if 5000 each - 1 Case and receiving 10500 each, I get 3 LPs, 2 for 5000 and 1 for 500. You can apply logic in the location directives for picking to look first for the locations with Cases in stock.
Or as you pick the cases, can you use the "Full" option after picking 1 case so it's assigned its own Target License plate and get the SSCC code assigned that way? This is what many of my clients use to assign Pallet labels by using "Full" after they created the physically filled a pallet during picking.

    Hi Jonathan,

Is your client on 10.0.2 or greater?  Have you reviewed new wave label printing method which can be repeated in the waving process for multiple formats, IE CS and PL?

See attached documentation.  I've followed this in a demo environment and it works as expected.

    Colby,

I have a demo environment that is currently on the PEAP 10.0.5 version and I cannot find the wave process step for printing the label as you have listed in your guide.  Can you provide information on that step?

    Two things:

1.) you have to flight these features.

    try:

INSERT INTO SYSFLIGHTING (FLIGHTNAME, ENABLED, FLIGHTSERVICEID)

    VALUES ('WHSWaveLabelPrintingFeaturePreview', 1, 12719367)

If it does not work try with 0:

INSERT INTO SYSFLIGHTING (FLIGHTNAME, ENABLED, FLIGHTSERVICEID)

    VALUES ('WHSWaveLabelPrintingFeaturePreview', 1, 0)

Also you need to flight 'WHSNumberSequenceExtensionFeature'

2.) you'll want to make the Wave label printing process repeatable at Whse Mgmt -> Setup -> Waves -> Wave Process Methods
